A Direct Support Professional assists in caring for an individual with exceptional needs,assists with medications, completes documentation of services provided, assist residents in participating within the local community, and completes additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
In order to recruit new employees, we are extending bonuses to recruit and provide incentives to new applicants. The need for Direct Support employees is greatly hindering our ability to deliver services. We have added the following benefits for new hires; Employees that have not been employed by the Arc in
the last year are considered “New Employees”. A returning employee’s incentives will be on a case by case bases.
- A new fulltime employee will receive a $200 bonus after completing in-service and 1 week of employment as a Direct Care staff. This bonus will be in addition to your payroll.
- A new employee working 28 hours or more, after completing a 90-day probation period will receive a $200 bonus and will then qualify for any additional bonus that may be available.
- A new employee at the end of 90 days of successful employment will become eligible for all other benefits that may apply.
- Full time employees only benefits.
